I have a bachelor of science degree in accounting and I have over 20 years of accounting experience, in both public (CPA and non-CPA firms) and private company accounting. Past experience includes industries such as land development (including St. Cloud, MN's largest housing development), nurseries & landscape, commercial building construction, daycares, auction houses, cottage food producers, service, retail and wholesale businesses.

 

I have experience in all facets of running a business including A/R, A/P, payroll, multi-state sales & use tax, 1099 compliance & reporting, work comp & yearly audits, income tax, financial statement preparation, reconciliations, depreciation/amortization,  inventory management, monthly and yearly closing, risk management, human resources and more.  I have extensive experience working with construction companies who need to bill WIP with retainage using AIA documents, collect and submit lien waivers, pay prevailing wages, etc.  Although I enjoy working with all businesses, I particularly enjoy working with the self-employed, construction and land development companies. I have a passion to help companies succeed whether they are a start-up or a long-time multi-million dollar company.  I'm well organized and love turning chaos into an organized & efficient system.  With a commitment to excellent customer service and accurate & useful financials, we make sure our clients are always booked and balanced.
